Whether it’s taking control of your home loan, setting your household budget, or saving for your future, TSB has you covered every step of the way.

Home loans

Choose what's right for you

Whether you’re after the certainty of a fixed term, the flexibility of floating, or a combination of both, we have a range of rates and terms to suit you.

When it comes to loan type and repayment plans, one size doesn't fit all. Enjoy the freedom of a revolving credit, or make budgeting easier with a fixed home loan - whatever works best for you.

Align your repayments to suit your lifestyle, whether it's weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly. Use our home loan calculator to see what your repayments could be.

With a little planning and some helpful home loan tools, you can shorten the length of your loan term, reduce the amount of interest you pay, and save money in the long run.

Everyday budgeting tips

Simple budgeting and money habits can make a big difference over time. Here are some top tips from our TSB team:

Make a budget and stick to it.

The team at Money Talks have free and easy-to-use resources on their website, such as financial action plans and simple budgeting spreadsheets.

Shop around for the best deal on utilities.

It has never been easier to switch power providers, and there are handy, free tools online like Powerswitch that let you know if you’re getting the best deal.

Check if your broadband plan, or other utility, has come off contract.

You can often get a discount by locking in again for a fixed period.

Create separate bank accounts for bills and general savings.

Each payday, set up automatic payments up to labelled accounts in your online banking, and use what's left for savings and discretionary spending. You can set up as many accounts as you need easily online.

Do an annual check-up of your insurance.

Comparing plans online to see if you’re getting the best deal can save you money. If insurance payments are causing you some difficulty, it’s best to temporarily reduce your premiums by having lower cover, rather than cancelling and having no cover at all.

Make meal plans and do the grocery shop online.

That way you can see how much your groceries are costing, and you can easily update your list to cut back on costs.
